The New River Inn, a graceful 1905 southern plantation, houses the history museum, which features Seminole Indian archaeology, military, railroad, art, and pioneer exhibits.

The New River Inn, home of the History Museum, was the county's first building listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Paranormal investigators are frequent visitors to the village. These historic buildings are very active with paranormal manifestations.

The King Cromartie House Museum was barged up the river from its original site in 1971, clearing the railroad bridge by 18 inches on either side.
