The temperature is always cooler by the shore. Dress in layers and come prepared to walk the rustic trails of Odiorne Point State Park if desired.

The Center is open November to mid-February, daily 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and mid-February to October, daily 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The Center is closed Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

Admission to Odiorne State Park is not included and is charged seasonally from Memorial Day until Columbus Day.

    H2O Today, an exhibit organized by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service, is on display at the Seacoast Science Center in Rye now through November 11, 2019. Here, SSC Exhibit Director Jeremy LeClair explains the interactive component, Your Weight In Water, to young visitors. The exhibition helps guests gain a better understanding of the power of water and the criticality of clean water in daily life worldwide.
