Located on the banks of the Hudson River in historic downtown Poughkeepsie, the Children's Museum is conveniently located only steps from the Poughkeepsie Station. Outside the Museum there are picnic areas, a skate board park, and the Walkway Over the Hudson Historic State Park.

At the Museum, every exhibit is interactive, allowing little hands and growing minds to explore, play, and learn. There are two floors of hands-on exhibits and play spaces. Some of the exhibits include: RiverTown, a multicultural interactive village, "Little Sprouts Farm", the Hyde Park Mastodon Ice Age to Today, A Hudson River Water Play Table and WKID Radio Station.

    This early morning movement and baby sign language class is designed for pre-walking babies (up to 12 months) and their parent or caregiver. The program features parent-baby dance time, simply baby games, and songs.
