Located in a Victorian Italianate farmhouse on the original Hoover family farmland in North Canton, Ohio, the Hoover Historical Center displays take you through the evolution of floor care, from the manual vacuums of the 1800s to the modern vacuums of today. Dozens of Hoover vacuums and appliances are showcased along with original artwork for advertisements. Of particular interest to many will be the collection of wartime items that The Hoover Company manufactured during World War II. You’ll also hear the story of the 84 British children that the company brought to North Canton during the war!
