The CBBT accepts cash, credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and E-ZPass for toll payment. All applicable discounts require E-ZPass.

Be sure to pick up a memento to remember your crossing! Visit Virginia Originals Gift Shop, located within the North Plaza Rest Area building. Open daily: 9 am–4:30 pm.

The Seagull Fishing Pier will be renovated and reopen to the public upon completion of the parallel tunnel at Thimble Shoal Channel (~2027).

The CBBT is the largest bridge and tunnel complex in the U.S., measuring 17.6 miles from shore to shore.

The CBBT connects Virginia’s Eastern Shore with the mainland in Virginia Beach.  Before this bridge-tunnel was constructed, a fleet of 7 ferries sailed the waters daily.
