    Currents 116: Oliver Laric
Berlin-based artist Oliver Laric works at the intersection between art and technology. His multifaceted approach responds to the internet as a mass media with deep and wide cultural reach, exploring how images have been created, shared, and repeated, both in our time and across history. In Currents 116: Oliver Laric, the artist presents a new sculpture and a recent video work that draw inspiration from and engage with the Museum’s own collection.

Southwest Weavings: 800 Years of Artistic Exchange
Southwest Weavings: 800 Years of Artistic Exchange presents 13 outstanding wearing blankets and rugs, and explores the layers of global migration and trade in these textiles. Native American Diné (Navajo) artists, the most famous group of southwestern weavers, adapted Pueblo-style upright looms from their neighbors and wool from Churro sheep introduced by Spanish colonists.

    Rachel Whiteread
The British sculptor Rachel Whiteread is one of the world’s leading contemporary artists. Whiteread casts the interiors of buildings, household objects, and furniture, capturing familiar but often overlooked areas of the home—the underside of a chair, the contents of a medicine cabinet, or the inside of a garden shed. Over the course of her 30-year career, she has changed the way that the world thinks about sculpture.
