The acclaimed ACO Chorus joins the orchestra for two of J.S. Bach’s most beautiful cantatas: the effervescent Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben, with its uplifting chorale Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring, and Gottes Zeit ist die allerbeste Zeit, with its dark, plaintive gamba and woodwind lines and gorgeous arias and choruses. Then, an audience favorite: the Orchestra Suite in B Minor, with ACO’s renowned principal flutist Sandra Miller as soloist.
