The Berkshires is a destination for all seasons. Experience the lush greenery of spring and summer, the magnificent color of fall foliage, and winter's snow-capped mountains.

Take a leisurely drive to enjoy the Berkshire scenery. Some of the best views can be seen from Olivia's Overlook along Route 7 and from the top of Mount Greylock. Tanglewood Music Festival is also a gorgeous location for both scenery and music.

The Berkshires is comprised of 2 cities and 30 towns. To traverse the region from tip to tail, it takes almost 90 minutes. Each town is approximately 10-15 minutes away from the next, boasting its own unique personality and attractions. Be sure to visit them all.

Fun Facts

Many of the cultural institutions welcome a stroll along their expansive and scenic grounds. Bird watch at The Mount, hike through an outdoor sculpture exhibit at The Clark, or take a stroll through Shakespeare & Company’s campus. Don’t miss the Norman Rockwell Museum or Jacob’s Pillow.

Two Berkshire theatre companies were the first in the nation to offer live performances during the pandemic: Barrington Stage Company and Berkshire Theatre Group.

Mahanna Cobble is a new trail blazed by Berkshire Natural Resources Council. The semi-strenuous 3.2 mile, out-and-back trail begins at Bousquet Ski Area in Pittsfield.
