The Mount Vernon Ladies' Association purchased Mount Vernon in 1858 and is now open to the public. Tour the mansion and estate (which includes more than a dozen historic outbuildings), stroll through the four gardens, and explore the Pioneer Farm and Wharf.
Enjoy over 25 galleries and theaters and view over 500 original Washington artifacts in the Donald W. Reynolds Museum and Education Center and Ford Orientation Center at no additional charge.
Consider visiting George Washington’s Distillery and Gristmill (open from April - October), located three miles from Mount Vernon and included in estate admission.
