The Gardens date back to 1916 when the Shakespeare Garden was created to honor the bard. That garden inspired the City of Cleveland and celebrates the cultures of the entire world.
You can learn a lot about the history of immigration to the United State and to Northeast Ohio simply by taking a tour of the Cleveland Cultural Gardens.
As of 2023, the Cultural Gardens featured the cultures of Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East, along with the African American, Native American and Carpatho-Rusyn cultures.
