Coastal Queen's Evening Cruises and Special Events Cruises are casual (no narration) and take guests on a seaside boat ride around Newport Harbor and lower Narragansett Bay.
The Evening Cheer Cruises offer drink specials, Evening Cocktail Cruises include one "drink of the night" in the price of the cruise, and the Special Events Cruises may feature live music, a wine, or beer tasting, or other entertainment. Enjoy views of Newport Harbor lighthouses, harbor estates, forts, Clingstone, and the Jamestown shoreline as they cruise.
The boat has a covered top deck with roll-down sides and a glass-enclosed lower deck that can be heated on chilly days. Cruises are 75–90 minutes, and reservations are required.

The Coastal Queen started out as a tour boat Viking Queen. Bill Munger, owner of Conanicut Marine Services Inc. bought the boat, restored and renamed it. The boat was christened in 2019.
In early December each year, The Coastal Queen transports Santa to Jamestown, Rhode Island to visit with the children.
