Join Train Curator, David Ziegler, as we learn the story of Ross Rowland Jr. and his precious freight!

Together we will cover the 1946 and 1976 freedom trains that acted as traveling museums with twenty six galleries curated from all over the United States. Some American treasures aboard were a moon rock, the Louisiana purchase, and Jesse Owen’s gold medals among hundreds more that travelled 26,000 miles with 138 stops!

Black History Event: Camp Delaware Film Screening

The Stark County Black History Museum at the McKinley Presidential Library and Museum in Canton invites guests to a Black History Month event! Join Dr. Tameka Ellington, Curator of Black History and her guests, Mark & Francine Butler for the screening of Camp Delaware, a play turned film that depicts the story of the Black Union Army Soldiers preparing for the Civil War battle!
