    This exhibition explores the history of the Black communities of Canton, Massillon, Alliance, and Waynesburg. It takes visitors on a journey beginning in the early 1800s, when the first Black families arrived in Stark County, and traces the challenges they faced upon settling in the North. The exhibition also highlights the vibrant business districts that once thrived—offering everything from ice cream to nationally touring nightlife entertainment—as well as the cherished places of worship!

    The nation's first dedicated automobile route runs coast-to-coast through Massillon. Driving Forces is an exploration of Lincoln Highway history and its symbolic significance, marking Massillon's 200th anniversary and America 250. The Massillon Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM, and Sunday from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM!

    Brown Bag Lunch: "The Declaration of Independence" - Chris Craft
    Bring a sack lunch or purchase from the Twilite Café. The program will begin promptly at 12:10 p.m. and conclude at about 12:50 p.m. to accommodate guests who attend during the lunch hour. It occurs on the fourth Tuesday of each month, from January through October. ASL interpreter provided. The event, which is held in the Museum's Gessner Hall, is free and open to the public; no reservations are required, but seats fill early.
