Join Director of Education Ally Carlson for an in-depth look at the 23rd Ohio Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War, the regiment that not only included William McKinley, but also Rutherford B. Hayes!

The men of the 23rd saw action in some of the largest battles of the war, and the relationships formed between these soldiers would impact them for the rest of their lives. Learn more about the regiment that gave birth to 2 US Presidents!

On January 19th, the McKinley Presidential Library & Museum will host it's first Museum Record Day! Museum staff will count how many people slide down the fire pole in the Fire Station in the Street of Shops. Each person will have the opportunity to sign the Museum's "Official Record Book" after sliding down the pole. The same event will be held again in 2027 to try to break the record set in 2026! Other activities include free activity sheets, planetarium shows, and MORE!!
