Meramec Caverns is open every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas.

 The temperature of the cave is a constant fifty-eight degrees.

The Cavern Tour takes one hour and twenty minutes to complete, covering 1-1/4 miles round trip. An abbreviated forty-five-minute tour is available for groups. This tour has all the highlights of the regular tour with less walking. 

Guided walking tours depart every twenty-to-thirty minutes starting at 9:00 AM. Strollers are not allowed on the tour. Backpacks or child carriers are suggested.

Each activity is available seasonally and vary in age range.

Proof of Jesse Jame's usage of the caverns as a hideout is found through collaborative factual evidence. This evidence consists of sheriffs' reports, eyewitness' accounts, and physical material found inside the cave.

There are no tight spaces on the tour. Tours can accommodate groups of one hundred at a time. The smallest room inside the cave is comparable to the size of an average bedroom.
