Between 1923 and 1951, Latvian immigrant Ed Leedskalnin single-handedly quarried, carved and set over 1,100 tons of coral rock, including a nine-ton gate that once swung at a finger's touch, and never let anyone watch him work. How he did it remains a genuine mystery. It's one of America's great roadside enigmas, just a short drive south of Miami.
