About Jefferson Davis Presidential Library and Museum

The museum sits on the Beauvoir property on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where Jefferson Davis spent his last years. Its exhibits focus on Davis himself, including curated displays, original furnishings, and personal belongings, and it also covers Confederate soldiers. The wider site includes a Confederate Memorial Cemetery and a gift shop. The Beauvoir site is run as an educational nonprofit by the Mississippi Division of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, and the library is managed by the same group.
