The nation's tallest monument at 630 feet, the Gateway Arch, symbolizes St. Louis' role in the westward expansion of the U.S. and anchors Gateway Arch National Park. Visitors must enter the monument at the west entrance, which faces Fourth Street and the Old Courthouse.
Arch hours are 9:00 am – 8:00 pm in the summer and 9:00 am – 6:00 pm in the winter.
The Old Courthouse is currently closed while undergoing renovations as part of the $380-million CityArchRiver project, the largest public-private partnership in the history of the National Park Service. The historic building renovations will include new exhibit galleries and structural improvements.
