Arizona Snowbowl is a ski resort on the western slope of Mount Humphreys on the San Francisco Peaks, about 12 miles from Flagstaff, and has operated since 1938, making it one of the oldest continually run ski areas in the United States. The resort spans 777 acres with 55 runs, eight lifts and 2,300 feet of vertical drop, with a season running mid-November through late April. In summer, the Arizona Gondola carries visitors to 11,500 feet for views of the Grand Canyon and surrounding terrain.
