Harland Sanders Café and Museum is a place to eat or drink in Corbin, KY, part of the Daniel Boone Country guide. Cost: free.

688 US Highway 25 W · Corbin, KY

Why you should go…

This roadside café on US-25W is where Harland Sanders served travelers and developed his fried chicken recipe in the 1940s, before he sold it in 1956 and turned to franchising KFC. The restored building is on the National Register of Historic Places and still serves food, with a modern KFC kitchen attached. You can see his office, the original kitchen, the model motel room and early KFC memorabilia, then eat in his dining room.
