Britannia Mine Museum occupies the former Britannia Mines copper operation in Britannia Beach, British Columbia, once one of the largest copper mining operations in the British Empire. Visitors ride an underground train through the historic workings, pan for gold and tour the 20-story concentrator building, designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1987. The museum also stages the BOOM multimedia show inside the mill building.
