Bruneau Dunes State Park
27608 Sand Dunes Rd · Mountain Home, ID
Why you should go…
Bruneau Dunes State Park covers 4,800 acres of desert south of Mountain Home and holds the tallest single-structured sand dune in North America, with a peak rising 470 feet. You can hike or sandboard the dunes, fish for bluegill and bass in the lakes, paddle, or ride the horse trails. Off-road vehicles are only permitted on the main road. The park observatory has a 25-inch telescope, the largest available for public viewing in Idaho.
