About Fanning Springs State Park

Fanning Springs pushes out about 65 million gallons of 72-degree water a day beside the Suwannee River. You can swim, snorkel, picnic under live oaks, and watch for turtles, mullet and, on cold days, manatees. With a maximum depth of 18 to 21 feet, the spring is a common place to learn scuba. A boardwalk through cypress swamp ends at a river overlook, where sturgeon sometimes jump in summer. Entry is $6 per vehicle.
