Kansas Speedway

400 Speedway Blvd · Kansas City, KS

Why you should go…

Kansas Speedway is a 1.5-mile tri-oval that opened in 2001, with turns banked 17 to 20 degrees. It hosts two NASCAR race weekends a year, in spring and fall, including the Cup Series AdventHealth 400 and Hollywood Casino 400. A road course was added in 2012, and the Hollywood Casino overlooks the track's second turn. Groups of 15 or more can book a guided tour of about an hour and a half, and the grounds host events such as the American Royal World Series of Barbecue.

Good to know

General attractions guidance

Habits that pay off across this whole category, not rules for this one venue. Always check the official site for the specifics.

  • Book the time slot, not just the ticket

Timed entry is now the norm at big-draw attractions, and online tickets are often cheaper than the gate.

  • Grab the daily schedule on arrival

Feeding times, keeper talks, and shows run on a posted timetable that changes day to day.

  • The first hour is the quietest

Queues build through late morning and peak after lunch, so an early start buys you the shortest waits.

  • Budget past the ticket price

Parking, lockers, strollers, and food inside the gates are common extras worth planning for.
