It hosts rotating exhibitions, hands-on workshops, and educational programs, and its campus includes outdoor sculptures, gardens, a rooftop, an indoor Art Park for children, and a Glass Box Studio. Its best-known feature is Birds in Art, an annual juried international exhibition of contemporary bird artwork that has run since the museum's 1976 founding.
