Mulberry St north of Canal St · New York, NY
Little Italy today covers about five blocks of Mulberry Street north of Canal Street, lined with restaurants serving Italian staples on red-and-white checkered tablecloths. Long-running businesses include Ferrara Bakery & Cafe, known for cannoli and espresso, and Di Palo's, a family-owned grocer stocked with imported cheeses, pastas and olive oils. Each September the Feast of San Gennaro fills the street for 11 days in honor of the patron saint of Naples.
