Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe is an alpine ski and snowboard resort on the Nevada side of the Lake Tahoe basin, about 25 miles from downtown Reno. It has the highest base elevation of any Tahoe-area resort at 8,260 feet, spread across more than 1,200 acres and 60-plus trails served by eight lifts. The resort has operated since 1964 and is known for opening early and closing late in the season.
