Why you should go…
Built in 1758 during the French and Indian War, the Old Barracks housed British and Hessian troops and later became a Continental Army hospital during the Revolutionary War. It is one of the last surviving colonial barracks buildings in the United States and now operates as a museum with period rooms and exhibits on New Jersey's colonial and Revolutionary history.
