About Thomas Alva Edison Memorial Tower and Museum

The Thomas Edison Center at Menlo Park combines a guided museum with the Edison Memorial Tower, a monument to the inventor and businessman. Visitors join a fully escorted tour that displays original artifacts and lets them hear early Edison phonographs more than a century old. The tour covers the flurry of inventing that happened at Edison's Menlo Park laboratory, and visitors can also climb into the tower. Outside, a 36-acre state park offers a nature trail and informational kiosks. The tower was dedicated in 1938 on what would have been Edison's 91st birthday.
