About Tu-Endie-Wei State Park

Tu-Endie-Wei State Park sits where the Kanawha and Ohio rivers meet in Point Pleasant. The park is built around an 84-foot granite monument honoring the frontiersmen who fought and died in the Battle of Point Pleasant in 1774. That clash pitted Virginia settler militia against Shawnee forces led by Chief Cornstalk. The park is open year-round, and it does not offer overnight lodging.
