It takes visitors on a journey beginning in the early 1800s, when the first Black families arrived in Stark County, and traces the challenges they faced upon settling in the North. The exhibition also highlights the vibrant business districts that once thrived—offering everything from ice cream to nationally touring nightlife entertainment—as well as the cherished places of worship!
