About
About Montreal
Montreal is an island city in southern Quebec, situated at the meeting point of the St. Lawrence and Ottawa rivers. Visitors spend time in neighbourhoods such as Old Montreal, Plateau-Mont-Royal and Mile End, along with the off-island suburbs of Laval and Longueuil. The city offers museums such as Pointe-à-Callière, which covers the city's archaeological history, and green space at Mount Royal Park, which spans about 200 hectares. Old Montreal's Old Port and Bonsecours Market provide walking routes, boutiques and French-influenced restaurants.
