About Ballast Point Park

Ballast Point Park sits on the shore of Hillsborough Bay in the Ballast Point neighborhood of South Tampa. Visitors can watch sunrises over the water and see the downtown skyline. The grounds include a splash pad for hot days, a playground with a separate area for toddlers, scattered picnic tables, and shelters that can be reserved. A boat ramp and a dock for temporary boat tie-up serve boaters, and a seafood restaurant with a bait shop operates on site. The pier and the Joe Abrahams Fitness and Wellness Center were closed as of spring 2025 after hurricane damage.
