Bear Lake
925 Washington Street · Montpelier, ID
Why you should go…
Bear Lake is a 110-square-mile freshwater lake straddling the Idaho and Utah border, nicknamed the Caribbean of the Rockies for its turquoise water, with 48 miles of shoreline. The Idaho side is centered on Bear Lake County, whose largest town is Montpelier; the Bear Lake County Chamber of Commerce there promotes the lake, Bear Lake State Park and area recreation to visitors on both sides of the state line. Activities include boating, swimming, fishing and raspberry shake stops in the surrounding valley towns.
