Bear Lake State Park spreads across three areas on the Utah side of Bear Lake, near the Idaho line. The year-round marina in Garden City has a seven-lane boat launch, Rendezvous Beach offers a long beach with four campgrounds, and the eastside has beaches and launch ramps. Suspended calcium carbonate gives the water its aqua-blue color. Rendezvous Beach is named for the fur trapper gatherings held here in 1827 and 1828.
