About Bill Monroe Museum

Opened in April 2018 in Rosine, Kentucky, this museum honors Bill Monroe, often called the Father of Bluegrass. Exhibits display his instruments, awards, and personal belongings, and trace his path from Jerusalem Ridge to his career as a musical icon. Ohio County and its tourism commission operate the museum, which presents Monroe's story alongside the early foundations of bluegrass music. Visitors can pair a trip here with nearby Jerusalem Ridge and the Rosine Barn Jamboree.
