Buckhorn State Park sits on a peninsula in the Castle Rock Flowage of the Wisconsin River. Together with two neighboring state wildlife areas, it spans more than 8,000 acres. Visitors can paddle a canoe trail, fish from an accessible pier, hike, hunt, and camp, including family sites, group sites, and a unique cart-in camping option. A cabin designed for people with disabilities is also on the grounds, and there is a nature center with an interpretive room.
