A Wisconsin state park centered on a tall sandstone outcrop with ancient Native American rock art.
Adams, WI
Set in central Wisconsin, this state park was created in 1948 to protect a steep sandstone mound rising about 300 feet. Its name is French for a crack in the rock, which describes a deep cleft running through the stone. Visitors can climb stairs to the top of the mound and view petroglyphs and pictographs left by Native Americans, with a wayside exhibit explaining them. The park also offers camping, picnicking, fishing, and hiking.
