Camden Hills State Park

280 Belfast Rd · Camden, ME

Why you should go…

Camden Hills State Park covers 5,710 acres just north of Camden on Route 1, with trails to Mount Battie, Mount Megunticook and Maiden Cliff. The Mount Battie Auto Road climbs to the summit, where a 1921 stone tower honoring World War I soldiers looks over Camden Harbor and Penobscot Bay. The view inspired Millay's poem 'Renascence', and on a clear day you can spot Cadillac Mountain. The park also has a campground with hot showers.
