131 Cathedral Place · Santa Fe, NM
Built between 1869 and 1887 from yellow limestone quarried near Lamy, this Romanesque Revival cathedral stands out in a city of adobe. Inside, the La Conquistadora Chapel holds a wooden Madonna brought from Spain in 1626 and is the oldest part of the building, kept from a 1717 church. Outside you will find a bronze statue of Archbishop Lamy, a statue of Saint Kateri Tekakwitha, and a prayer garden with fourteen life-size Stations of the Cross.

The forecast is part of the ticket
Haze, low cloud, and rain flatten a view. Clear-day visits are worth rearranging your plans for.
Golden hour sells out first
Sunset slots at observation decks and cruises are the first to go, so book those further ahead.
Dress a layer warmer
It is always breezier up high and out on the water than it feels at street level.
Timed entry is common
Plenty of landmarks release tickets in windows rather than at the door, so check before you walk over.
