Crab Apple Whitewater has run whitewater rafting trips on New England rivers since 1983, operated by the Peabody and Mooney families. Its riverside base in The Forks, Maine offers lodging, a pub and restaurant, and an outdoor pool alongside daily rafting trips on the Kennebec and Dead Rivers from mid-April through mid-October. The company also runs trips on the Deerfield River in Massachusetts and the West River in Vermont.
