The museum runs trolley rides about two miles long between its Castlemuir main location and the Blackhawk stop in the Jon J. Duerr Forest Preserve. Visitors can also view a collection of restored cars and artifacts on display outdoors and in the car barn, and learn about regional railroad history from volunteers. Tickets are good all day, so guests can ride multiple times. Seasonal hours run from May to October, with special events in other months.
