The original Saltair opened as a resort pavilion in 1893 and has burned down and rebuilt more than once since; today's building operates as a concert and event venue on the lakeshore. Its onion-domed silhouette against the water and the Oquirrh Mountains makes it one of the valley's most photographed buildings.
