About Hadestown (Broadway)

Anais Mitchell's Hadestown blends New Orleans jazz and American folk music to retell the Greek myths of Orpheus and Eurydice, and Hades and Persephone. It won eight 2019 Tony Awards including Best Musical and has become the longest-running production at the Walter Kerr Theatre. The intimate staging puts the band on stage as part of the action.
