Why you should go…

Albert Christensen spent twelve years drilling and blasting this 5,000 square foot home into a sandstone cliff, and the family moved in in 1952. A short guided tour takes you through its fourteen rooms, with carved shelving, a concrete bathtub set into the rock and a 65-foot chimney drilled through the sandstone. Outside you find an exotic zoo, Lyle Nichols metal sculptures, vintage neon signs and a trading post.
