Hot Springs National Park sits in and around the city of Hot Springs in central Arkansas. Its historic bathhouses line Bathhouse Row, and its warm mineral springs have drawn visitors for centuries. Visitors can hike about 26 miles of trails on Hot Springs Mountain and nearby forest, see thermal water channels and cascades, and enjoy mountain views. The park was first set aside by Congress in 1832, before the national park idea existed, and the surrounding city grew into a spa town. Gulpha Gorge Campground offers camping, picnicking, and swimming.
