The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is built around the aircraft carrier Intrepid, docked at Pier 86 on Manhattan's West Side, with more than 30 aircraft on its flight deck. Exhibits include the space shuttle Enterprise, a British Airways Concorde and the submarine Growler. The museum opened in 1982 and offers flight simulators, virtual reality exhibits and guided tours of the ship's engineering spaces.
