Lafayette Greens is a green space and urban garden in downtown Detroit, next to the Coney Islands restaurants and near a large hotel. Visitors, city workers, and nearby residents use it to rest and watch plants grow. The Greening of Detroit grows chemical-free produce and flowers here and has focused on pollinator habitat since 2019. The garden holds a pollinator certification and offers classes on native bees, birds, and pollinator plants, along with community education, public art, music, and weekly yoga. The space can also be booked for events and tours.
