The Lightship Overfalls once anchored offshore to guide mariners past the shoals where the Delaware Bay meets the Atlantic, before modern navigation aids took over that job. Now permanently docked along the Lewes canal, she is preserved and maintained by the volunteer-run Overfalls Foundation. Visitors can tour the deck and crew quarters to see how lightship sailors lived and worked.
