About Maple Ridge
Maple Ridge is a reserve run by the Miami County Park District. Its rolling terrain runs from upland prairie down through wooded ravines to the Stillwater River. Mature woods cover much of the land, including a sugar maple grove used for an on-site maple sugaring program. Visitors can hike several miles of trail, fish in a pond, watch wildlife, or paddle the river. A replica sugar camp recalls earlier decades, and a suspension bridge crosses the river toward the neighboring Stillwater Prairie Reserve.
